# Terror in Woodsboro: Serial Killer Targets Local Teens
*By John Smith, Staff Writer*
WOODSBORO, CA – A quiet California town is reeling from a series of brutal murders that have left the community in shock and local law enforcement scrambling for answers.
The killing spree began with the savage murder of two high school students, Casey Becker and Steven Orth, at Becker’s home last Friday night. The victims were found brutally stabbed, with Becker’s body hung from a tree in the front yard.
In the days following, the killer struck again, this time at Woodsboro High School. Student Principal Arthur Himbry was found murdered in his office, escalating fears among students and faculty.
The string of attacks has culminated in a night of terror at the home of local teen Sidney Prescott, whose mother was tragically murdered exactly one year ago. Prescott and several of her classmates were attacked during a party, resulting in multiple casualties and injuries.
Sheriff Burke, leading the investigation, stated in a press conference this morning, “We are dealing with a highly dangerous individual or individuals. We urge all residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.”
The killer, described by witnesses as wearing a black robe and a white ghost-face mask, seems to be targeting teenagers connected to Woodsboro High School. This has led to speculation about possible motives, including revenge or copycat killings inspired by the murder of Maureen Prescott last year.
Local reporter Gale Weathers, who wrote a controversial book about the Prescott murder, has been closely following the case. “There’s more to this story than meets the eye,” Weathers told our reporter. “The killer seems to be playing a sick game, using horror movie tropes to terrorize victims before striking.”
As the town grapples with the aftermath of these horrific events, schools have been temporarily closed, and a curfew has been implemented. Residents are encouraged to stay indoors at night and travel in groups when possible.
Woodsboro, once known for its peaceful, small-town charm, now finds itself at the center of a real-life horror story. As the investigation continues, one question remains on everyone’s minds: When will this nightmare end?
